Seamless Coordination in a Medical Emergency: Responding to a Suspected Stroke in the Bahamas
12 Jun 2025

OVERVIEW
In remote areas, being able to access robust medical services on demand can mean the difference between recovery and regret. When an 82-year-old woman with suspected stroke symptoms was seen at a Crisis24 Private Strategic Group (PSG) clinic at a Bahamian resort, activating an emergency response plan was easy.
The team quickly assessed her condition and coordinated with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to connect with an on-call physician. Real-time consultation determined the need for imaging to rule out a severe stroke. Stabilized at the clinic, the patient’s family agreed to an air evacuation to the U.S. for advanced care.
Within minutes, our private client team organized an air ambulance with continuous medical support during the flight, and managed seamless ground transportation. Upon arrival at the destination airport, the patient was directly admitted to a hospital, with the paramedic providing a comprehensive handover.
This case highlights how we provide our members with swift, coordinated medical responses – no matter where in the world you might find yourself.
