21 Feb 2024

Offshore oil rigs pose unique challenges, especially in medical emergencies. But when crisis strikes, you can count on Crisis24's expert medical assistance team to spring into action, ensuring timely and life-saving interventions, even in the most remote locations.
Recently, in Southeast Asia, an employee on an offshore oil rig experienced chest discomfort, sparking immediate concern. Our medical team wasted no time activating response protocols upon receiving the doctor's evaluation. Recognizing the urgency, we swiftly coordinated with the topside medical team and Crisis24's medical director for APAC to initiate an emergency medical evacuation.
Thanks to our strong relationships with the client and oil field operator, trust and cooperation were seamless, expediting critical decision-making. Despite logistical complexities and time constraints, our Assistance Center flawlessly coordinated with all parties involved, ensuring the patient's stable transfer to an onshore medical facility.
The diagnosis of a myocardial infarction demanded swift action. Our team facilitated a successful Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), setting the stage for the patient's recovery. Once deemed fit to travel, Crisis24 arranged for his safe return to Malaysia, ensuring continuity of care
At Crisis24, we understand the importance of delivering rapid, reliable medical solutions, regardless of environmental constraints. Our global team of medical and logistics experts stands ready to ensure the safety and well-being of your personnel, whether on land or at sea.
