John Grommers

After a career spent as a CIA officer, planning and executing high-risk operations overseas and conducting covert action missions on behalf of US policymakers, John joined Crisis 24 in 2023. He has extensive experience operating in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, as well as the war zones, and is a specialist in physical security and explosive hazards assessment. He advises Crisis 24 clients on their security posture and delivers Crisis Management skills training.

Prior to joining CIA, John was an officer in the United States Navy, and later a turn-around manager for PHILIPS and HAGEMEYER, leading multicultural and multi-discipline teams in restructuring underperforming units.

John completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from HEC School of Management in Paris, France. He is a native French, English and Italian speaker and manages passable Dutch and Spanish.

In his free time, John can be found at the range.  In addition to 10-meter Olympic air pistol, where he competes regularly, he loves the mental challenge of long-range rifle shooting.
