Unauthorized Access to Sensitive Internal Data: A Coordinated Insider Threat Response

A global academic organization engaged Crisis24 after a malicious actor distributed confidential internal HR material through organizational mailing channels. What first appeared to be a discrete email security incident quickly developed into a complex Insider Threat matter.  

The employee at the center of the matter occupied a sensitive technical role with extensive knowledge of the organization’s systems and access to administrative accounts, cloud environments, confidential data and multiple operating sites.
