Karen Londoño
Senior Managing Consultant, Crisis & Security Consulting (APAC)
Karen Londoño is a Senior Managing Consultant within Crisis24’s Crisis & Security Consulting division, where she advises clients on pre-incident security risk management, crisis management, and crisis communications strategy across a wide range of sectors and geographies. She supports organizations in strengthening their crisis preparedness capabilities through the development of crisis management frameworks, crisis communications plans, training workshops, and simulated incident exercises (SIMINCs).
Karen has supported and delivered crisis management and crisis communications-focused exercises covering scenarios such as evacuations, product recalls, kidnap for ransom, and active assailant incidents. She is also a member of Crisis24’s crisis communications response team and has supported responses to complex product recalls in the United States and Latin America.
In addition to crisis management consulting, Karen has conducted hundreds of vulnerability assessments, site security assessments, and security audits across Asia, Latin America, and North America. She has also supported investigative and intelligence-led engagements across multiple regions, including matters linked to due diligence, threat investigations, reputational concerns, and complex security-related incidents requiring cross-border coordination and analysis.
Prior to joining Crisis24’s consulting team, Karen was a Senior Security and Political Risk Analyst specializing in Latin America, with a particular focus on Mexico and Colombia. Earlier in her career, she worked in the non-profit sector as a project manager for a health and water sanitation initiative in the Peruvian Amazon.
Karen is a dual Canadian-Colombian national and is a native Spanish and English speaker. She holds an MSc in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an Honours BA in International Relations and European Studies from the University of Toronto. She also holds the Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), the ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification, and is a qualified CIPR Crisis Communications Consultant.
